Pet tag engraving – common questions

  • 1. What information should go on a pet tag?

    Typically your pet’s name and a contact number. We’re happy to advise on layout and size. For dogs however there is laws in the UK as to the required information. We strongly recommend checking the up to date info from the gov website before getting your tag done.

  • 2. How long does pet tag engraving take?

    Most tags are engraved while you wait.

  • 3. What types of tags do you offer?

    We offer a range of shapes and sizes suitable for different pets.

What the Law Says (UK)

Dogs in public must wear a collar with the owner’s name and address on the collar or a tag. A phone number is strongly recommended for fast reunions.

Dogs must be microchipped (UK-wide). Cats in England must also be microchipped by 20 weeks of age.
