    For dogs in public, the owner’s name and address must appear on the collar or tag. A phone number is strongly recommended, while the pet’s name is optional. We’re happy to help fit the information clearly to the tag.

What the Law Says in England

Dogs in public must carry the owner’s name and address on their collar or tag. A phone number is strongly recommended. In England, dogs must normally be microchipped by 8 weeks old and cats by 20 weeks old. Check current government guidance for exemptions and updates.
