  • GENERAL

    Q: Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?


    A: No appointment needed — just pop in whenever suits you.

    There’s 1 hour free parking right outside, and additional pay & display parking behind our shop and behind the opposite row of shops.



    Q: How can I get an accurate quote?


    A: The best way is always in person so we can assess the item properly.

    If you can’t visit, we can sometimes quote from photos sent via WhatsApp.



    Q: What should I bring with me?


    A: Bring the item exactly as you want us to work on it:

    • Both shoes, not just one
    • A working key (ideally the most original one you have)
    • The item needing cleaning, repair or engraving

    This helps us give you the best result possible.



    Q: How do I find you and is parking easy?


    A: We’re based in Edgeley, Stockport.

    You’ll find free 1-hour parking directly outside and handy car parks behind the shop.

  • KEY CUTTING

    Q: How long does key cutting take?


    A: Most keys are done immediately, typically in around 60 seconds.



    Q: Can you give me a price over the phone?


    A: Key prices vary a lot, and many keys look identical but take different blanks.

    For accuracy, please bring your key in or send us a clear WhatsApp photo.



    Q: What types of keys can you copy?


    A: We cut almost all key types.

    If you’re struggling to find someone who can cut yours, send us a photo — we’ll tell you if it’s possible and what your options are.



    Q: Do you guarantee your keys?


    A: Yes — every key is guaranteed to work.

    We maintain over a 99% accuracy rate using modern precision machines.



    Q: Do I need to leave my key or can I wait?


    A: Most people wait while we cut the key due to the speed of our machines,

    but you’re welcome to leave it with us if you prefer.

  • SHOE REPAIRS

    Q: What kinds of shoes can you repair?


    A: We repair all types of shoes.

    When people say “it can’t be repaired”, they usually mean the job would cost more than the shoes are worth — not that it’s impossible.

    Bring them in and we’ll give honest advice.



    Q: How long do shoe repairs take?


    A: It depends on the work, but after a quick assessment we’ll give you a clear time estimate.

    Most repairs take 1–2 days, and some jobs can be done while you wait.



    Q: Can you fix badly worn or “ruined” shoes?


    A: Quite often, yes.

    Bring them in and we’ll inspect the damage and tell you what’s realistically achievable before you decide.



    Q: Do I need to clean my shoes first?


    A: No — we’ve seen it all!

    The only exception is that shoes must be free from dog mess or similar for hygiene reasons.



    Q: Do you offer protective soles or toe pieces?


    A: Yes — and we strongly recommend them to extend the life of your shoes and prevent future wear.

  • CAR KEYS

    Q: Can you cut and program a spare key for my car?


    A: Yes — message us through the car key page with your make, model and year, and we’ll confirm what’s possible.



    Q: Do I need to bring the car with me?


    A: Some vehicles require the car to be present for programming.

    Use the contact form on our car key page and we’ll tell you exactly what’s needed.



    Q: What’s the difference between a new key and a key refurb?


    A: A refurb lets us fit your working electronics into a brand new case with a fresh blade, giving you a key that looks and works like new — without paying for a full replacement.



    Q: Can you replace the battery in my car key?


    A: Yes — we replace car key batteries in-store.

  • DRY CLEANING & ALTERATIONS

    Q: Who does the cleaning and when are items collected?


    A:We partner with Clean Inc, who collect items from us on Mon/Wed/Fri at 1pm.

    Your cleaning will return on the next collection day.



    Q: How long will my dry cleaning or alterations take?


    A: Most cleaning is returned on the next collection.

    Complex alterations or delicate fabrics may take longer — we’ll explain timings when you drop the item off.



    Q: Can you clean delicate fabrics like silk or wool?


    A: Yes — we use specialist solutions designed for delicate materials and “dry-clean only” items.



    Q: Do you do trouser/dress shortening and zip replacements?


    A: Yes — we offer hems, zip replacements and a variety of repairs and adjustments.

  • WATCH BATTERIES & STRAPS

    Q: How long does a watch battery replacement take?


    A: Usually 5–10 minutes.



    Q: Will my watch still be water resistant afterwards?


    A: We always replace the rubber seal correctly to maintain the watch’s water-resistant barrier.

    However, we do not pressure-test watches, so we cannot certify water-proofing.



    Q: What batteries and straps do you use?


    A: We use genuine Renata Swiss batteries and offer a selection of calf-grain leather straps.



    Q: Do I need to book?


    A: No — just walk in.

    Most watches are done while you wait.

  • RFID DOOR FOB

    Q: Can you copy my door fob?


    A: Bring it in and we’ll check compatibility using our specialist readers.



    Q: How long does fob copying take?


    A: Usually no more than 5 minutes.



    Q: What if my fob system can’t be duplicated?


    A: There’s no charge, and we’ll advise the correct next steps.

  • PET TAGS

    Q: Do you supply the pet tags, or do I bring my own?


    A: We supply the tags — with lots of styles to choose from.



    Q: What should I put on my pet’s tag?


    A: UK law requires, at minimum:

    • Name
    • Owner’s Postcode and House Number

    We can guide you on the best layout.



    Q: How long does pet tag engraving take?


    A: Engraving a tag is usually done while you wait, typically in under 5 minutes.

  • TRAINER CLEANING

    Q: Can you make my trainers look brand new again?


    A: Some can return to an “as new” look, while others have limits due to wear, stains or age.

    We’ll check them first and give you a realistic expectation before you leave them with us.



    Q: What types of trainers can you clean?


    A: All types — leather, suede, nubuck, mesh, canvas and more.



    Q: How long does a deep clean take?


    A: Most deep cleans take around 3 days to allow for proper drying.

    Delicate materials (suede, nubuck etc.) may need longer — we’ll let you know once assessed.
